WHOLE SCHOOL REFLECTION
Well here we are at the end of a very busy term and I actually can’t comprehend how we have crammed so much into this term! I am very excited to let you know that we have been approved for a permanent Crossing Guard from the beginning of Term 2! State Growth visited last month and as a result we were re-assessed and we now qualify for them to provide a Crossing Guard at no cost to the school! Thank you so much to the parents and our local politicians, Luke Edmonds and David O’Byrne who have supported us through this process. We are so pleased that our concerns have been acknowledged and we can now ensure a safer drop off and pick up zone. The crossing Guard will be present from 8:15am-9:15am and between 2:50pm- 3:20pm.
While you all enjoy the beginning of your Easter Break tomorrow our entire staff will be working at Bellerive Primary School with four other schools to meet and moderate work samples in reading. This process ensures we are all on the same page and gives us an opportunity to collaborate with each other and our network colleagues.
A huge thank you to the members of our School Association, in particular Janaya Butterworth who organised our recent Easter Raffle. In total, with the Casual Dress Day and the raffle, they have made a total of $2086.00! This is a massive contribution to our school and at our first meeting this year they committed to providing some new furniture and storage items for our library, so you will be able to see this money being spent as early as next term.
In closing I would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday and I hope you all have a chance to recharge and rejuvenate ready for another busy term!
