SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER
Hi everyone, My name is Courtney. I am very excited to be the School Social Worker here at Lindisfarne Primary School. As a School Social Worker, it is my role to support the wellbeing of students by helping young people, their families and the school identify and address any worries that might be impacting your child’s learning and engagement at school. This can include me working directly with young people on things like mental health concerns, general coping strategies, anxiety and depression, protective behaviours, navigating friendships, family changes and school attendance (among lots of other things!). I can also support families by offering a listening ear and providing support and advice around accessing community supports.
I am at Lindisfarne Primary School every Tuesday. If you feel like there is something that I could do to support your child or family, please talk to your child’s class teacher or the school’s Support Teacher, Purdie Hudson.
