From the Principal

Congratulations to all the students who competed in the Inter-School Cross Country carnival on Wednesday the 12th June. All students showed all four of our schools values, Courage, Respct, Aspiration and Growth, with pride. It was especially rewarding to see so much sportsmanship between the students. Our persistence and hard work paid off to win the overall trophy, which means that next year Lindisfarne Primary School will compete in Division A. Thank you to all the parent volunteers and spectators for attending and representing our school community.  Notices will be given out to students who would like to participate in the State Cross Country at Symmons Plains in the near future.

All students who participated in the Inter-School Cross Country will be formally congratulated at the next school assembly on Friday 21st June.

A special thank you to Janelle, Vicki Doyle and the School Association for organising and running the canteen at the Cross Country on all three days. Some of the funds raised will be used to support future works in the school canteen and garden. On the Tuesday we were lucky to utilise the 24Carrot Mona Coffee Van, 8 students from Grade 6 had some Safe Food Handling online training and worked in van for the day, food preparation, serving customers and handling money.

The SAWS (Skills and Water Safety) program has finished for the year. It has been great to see the children develop their skills throughout the 2 week program and gain confidence in the water. Water Fun for Grades Prep-2 students will be in Term 4.

Thank you to all the parents who have already booked at Parent Teacher interview on the website. If you have not the web address is on Schoolzine and came home with all students on a letter.

Update on the asbestos material found in Gordons Hill Reserve: Parks and Wildlife have removed further material found and are the park is closed for public use until further notice. Therefore Bush Kinder has been postponed for this term.

Kind regards,
