From the Principal
What an incredible end to the year we have had! This week we farewelled our Grade 6 students in style at Spencers Café, and also in a wonderful assembly that showcased the talent and skills that they have developed over their time at LPS. Our leavers will take life-long memories of their time here with us. It is an exciting but scary time for them, however, I know they will embrace the Lindisfarne Primary School values of courage, aspiration, growth and respect, and will strive to uphold these as they continue their educational journey into 2020 and beyond.
Staff who are not returning in 2020
Mr Des will be leaving us this year. He has accepted a position at Mt Carmel and will be missed by our students and staff here. Mr Des has made a valuable contribution to our school and we wish him all the best for the future.
Ms Hinds will be leaving us and we would like to say thank you to her for her creative contribution to our Art program in 2019.
Mrs Bernadette Bell will be taking Long Service Leave in term one of 2020.
Mrs Bec Stevenson will be taking Long Service Leave in term one of 2020.
Joining our team next year
Mrs Anita Wedd. Mrs Wedd will be teaching Japanese to all our Prep-grade 6 classes in 2020 and we are very excited to begin this journey into another countries culture and language!
Mr Vincent Kamau will be joining us to teach Health and Physical Education next year. Mr Kamau is a new graduate and we are very excited that he is joining our team.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff here at Lindisfarne for a wonderful year. The dedication, commitment and passion that we share for teaching and learning is evident in everything we do and I am very grateful to work with such an awesome team.
Wishing you all a safe and festive break and looking forward to seeing everyone on 2020!
Kind regards,
Kel Innis
Principal
