Hello Term 4! It has been so wonderful to greet all of our students back, and see how engaged and ready for learning they are. I have really enjoyed reading and hearing about the adventures that the children undertook over the holidays around our beautiful state. We are so lucky to still be able to get out and about during these uncertain times.

Due to the ongoing restrictions in place because of COVID-19, I can confirm that some of our regular, annual activities have been either modified or cancelled. The main reason for these changes is physical distancing. Here are some of these to note before the end of this year:

Cancelled:

• The Inter-school Swimming Carnivals
• The All Schools Primary Triathlon
• All overnight school camps

Modified:

• The Music Assembly will go ahead on Thursday the 10th of December. Parents will not be invited this year however this will be filmed and put on Seesaw for parents to view.
• The Grade 6 Celebration Assembly will be on Tuesday the 15th of December.  Invitations will be sent to parents of our grade 6s soon, only two guests per student will be able to attend, with RSVPs essential. Physical distancing will be in place as will hand hygiene at the one point of entry.
• The Grade 6 cohort are organising an all-day activity to replace the school camp. More information will be distributed about this as it gets closer.
• The DEC Concert in its usual form will not happen this year.  The choir are going to be recorded and but won't be performing live. More information will be communicated when it’s released
• Our End of School Picnic will happen on Wednesday the 16^th of December from 9am at Simmons Park. There will be no BBQ this year however we will be providing all students with an Icey pole.

Business as usual:

• Swim Fun will go ahead for all Early Childhood students on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December. More information will be communicated closer to the date.
• The Grade 6 Celebration Dinner will go ahead at Spencers again this year on Tuesday the 15th of December.
• Our annual Christmas on Henley Concert will also happen on Friday the 11th of December on the Henley oval. Physical distancing will be in place, as will a hand hygiene station at the one point of entry.
