NAIDOC WEEK
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia, (usually held each July but postponed this year due to COVID-19), to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
One of our students, Eve took part in a fantastic project by ABC Me and First Languages Australia, sharing a greeting in her indigenous language. This series of videos is being aired for NAIDOC week and available on ABC iView. Take a look at Eve's contribution below:
