We now have a number of Lunch Time Groups up and running in our school.  These programs have been developed to provide students with extra learning opportunities.  Currently we have programs operating in the school garden, LEGO clubs and a Games Club.  They provide the context for students to;

• participate in learning in an area of special interest
• develop/extend skills in a particular area
• develop social skills, team building and cooperative skills working in a small group environment
• take on a leadership role/teaching others
• building new friendships

Students shared the following insights into their learning:

"At LEGO club we make things with LEGO in groups.  We are learning how to build.  We help each other and we build things together too.  LEGO helps me stay calm at lunch times."

"It’s great being able to do something that I like to do.  At gardening club we have been watering seedlings, digging trenches to plant potatoes and learning how to take care of the garden."
