WHOLE SCHOOL REFLECTION
December - WHAT!!?? If you are anything like me, you get to this end of the year and wonder where the last 12 months have gone! We are currently finalising End of Year reports, and it always amazes me how much we can pack into a year of learning. You and your extended families are to be congratulated for raising such curious, resilient and respectful children. I am so incredibly proud of all our Lindisfarne Learners. Every single one of our students has demonstrated growth, not only in their learning, but their social and emotional wellbeing, too. The data we routinely collect in both academic and in the health and wellbeing of our students shows a wonderful upwards trend of continuous improvement, and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all of your support and partnership during 2021.
The next two weeks are going to be busy ones! These are the final weeks for our Grade 6 students and we can’t wait to celebrate with their families at our Grade 6 Celebration Assembly and Dinner next Tuesday 14th December. Next Wednesday we will be holding our annual whole school picnic at Simmons Park from 9am-12:30pm. We encourage any parents and families to join us there (adhering to current COVID restrictions). Our fingers are crossed for some more wonderful weather! A full list of end of year events is further down this newsletter.
At this time of year, we must regrettably farewell some of our staff. Ms Danielle Bath, Ms Michelle Isaac and Ms Beth Osborne are all leaving our school at the end of 2021.
Ms Bath has been teaching at LPS for 19 years, and has contributed to hundreds of Lindisfarne Learners’ journeys throughout primary school. Mrs Bath has taught Prep through to Grade 3 and will be heading to Lansdowne Crescent in 2022.
Ms Isaac has been teaching here for 11 years and has also had two daughters attend our school. Ms Isaac has spent many hours in upper primary, supporting the senior students and has taught from Grade 3 up to Grade 6. Ms Isaac is heading to Campbell Street Primary School in 2022.
All 3 of these wonderful people will be sorely missed by staff, students and the community. We hope that your time here has been memorable and we look forward to seeing you back at future school events!
Speaking of school events, we held our annual Christmas on Henley concert on Friday night. Thank you to all of our staff and students who made sure the huge crowd of parents and families were thoroughly entertained! Videos of performances will be added to Seesaw throughout the week.

I hope that you all have a wonderful and relaxing summer break, and I urge you all to stay safe and look after each other.
Have a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!
Kind regards,
Kel Innis
Principal
