This week I issued the SRC a challenge in order to raise awareness of those affected by Cancer; if they can raise their target of $1000 I will let them shave my head in front of the whole school. Since Monday afternoon we have raised over $900, so it looks like I will be needing my mum to knit me a few beanies very soon!
Many of our staff, families and school community have been affected by cancer so we are incredibly proud to be able to help where we can. I will be shaving my head completely (!!!), and many of the students and staff will dye their hair in support as well. This will happen on the last day of term, Friday the 25th of September.
By donating you'll also fund vital research to help more people survive cancers, while improving their quality of life. Every day another 41 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That's one Aussie every 36 minutes. Although research is improving survival rates, sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.
The SRC will continue fundraising through the link below, there will also be a donation box in the office, as well as the Crazy Hair Day with the big shave to be held at 11am in the courtyard. Because we’ve had such a wonderful response, we have raised the target to $2000. If we can reach this goal, our SRC members will be dying some of our staff members hair with bright fluro colours!
Please support if you can!

Please remember that if you need to visit the school for anything other than dropping off or picking up students, you need to sign in at the front office and fill out a Health Screen questionnaire. LIL families can sign in once they get to their session, and our LIL teachers will have the Health Screen form there foryou to complete.
